One Bible scholar defined standing in the gap as the call “to expose oneself for the protection of something.” This means you take the position on the battlefield in place of a wounded brother or sister in Christ. This isn't always the easy thing to do, but it's certainly the necessary thing to do.

By standing in the gap and praying daily for the members in our family, our ties will be strengthened and reinforced by the power of the Holy Spirit and there will be no situation nor circumstance that separate us for each other or from the love of Christ.

When we refer to the Gap, we mean being present in the moment, fully aware of our internal state and external surroundings. It's the space between our random thoughts and inner dialogue that is the source of peace, joy, and happiness.

Here at Standing in the Gap we offer a wide range of programs both in Warrensburg, MO and in our Location in Kenya. We have both a men and women's discipleship house, we offer prison ministries, and also a food pantry.
